“Twilight the complete illustrated Movie Companion”, by Mark Cotta Vaz, was written as the process of how the Movie Twilight was created, filmed by Elliot Davis, directed by Catherine Hardwicke. Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson acted as Isabella Marie Swan and Edward Cullen. Mainly supported by Summit Entertainment, filmed in Portland (One hour drive from Forks, Washington)

The Movie was based on the original book- Twilight- of the love story between a vampire and human. Through the nasty climate, the team was able to film in the damp, cold weather as the author describes (voice: 1st person, used present tense)

Through out the movie, it used different techniques of filming Vampire actions like Wire, strings…etc. it was difficult to cooperate with both the weather and the scenes that need to be shot in time. As the time runs out, the weather finally turned nice so they can continue with the sunlit scenes.

The movie was seted in many different places of Portland instead of Forks, they were able to find Houses and Buildings in mind as Forks High school, Charlie’s and Cullen’s House…etc.

Later on in 2009 December, Twilight was successfully finished thanks all the hard work Catherine Hardwicke, Davis Elliot, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and other who acted, filmed…etc

Hey Julia;

Trying to find a good book to read??? Well then, here’s a good one for you. It’s called (The Knowledge of Magic) Mystical Magic, by Ivor Baddiel& Jonny Zucker.

You can know that it belongs to the history genre by its title, and since it’s a history book, it was set long ago, around 4500years ago to now using both past tense and present tense. The book introduces (the settings) places where magic appears witch is usually ancient like Egypt. This novel uses the 3rd person’s voice to introduce the past of magic. The main characters are the famous magicians of the past who earned tons of cash, who had been called witches once upon a time (‘cause of the extraordinary tricks they performed). The other two minor characters are the Great Miracle and his assistance- Clumsini, which teach the readers to perform easy magic tricks first, handed.

The book begins with how the magic first started in Egypt- the first Country to present magic after the Greeks (which were too early to be recorded). The Egyptian magicians first perform to the Pharaohs (The Kings) of killing a duck then put it back to life. Until later, to the more civilized period of history, more magicians appears, but, BUT, THEN the royals families has the stories of wicked witches performs evil magic on them, so magic performers were either kept in a jail or performing as long as possibly in the villages as they travel (Performing until someone pick on them, because them the while villagers kick him/her out BADLY)

After the bad times for the magicians, they spread through the world and magic was more popular than ever. There were animals that are smart enough to do tests, magicians that could read minds! Even in India, special Magicians were able to let ropes fly up in the air, then, as the boy climbs up, he disappears too!

Over the end, China has produced the first paper packs-which were almost as big as 8 years old!!! The Cards were way too heavy, and way too big. Imagine the Magicians perform trick with those!!! (Poor them!) So you can see how magic has improved so much until today.

So, Julia, have I convince you to read this book yet? Well, I know history books are REALLY BORING, but if you read any of these kinds of series, it’s really good. They has all sorts of small comics and funny pictures to entertain the readers, and trust me, the Jokes are REALLY funny (at least I think they do), so, read the book and find out more!!! :) :) :) :) :) :)

Name of the book: Stuff -The life of a cool demented dude by: Jermy Strong.

My Genre reading no.1, I have read a fascinating, attractive book named “Stuff“. It contains an exciting story and fine details, with funny image to support. Stuff is a real life fiction with modern technology. Stuff was written by Stuff’s perspective, and it uses the book as a journal. Stuff simply has all the problems a teenage boy would have, both in the family and school, where a normal boy would have survived.

Stuff is a real normal kid who has lots of trouble with life. As a 14 years old teenage boy, he has a great knowledge of STUFF… that’s probably why his “friends” nicknamed him “Stuff”. Stuff’s parent has divorce since he was young and now Stuff’s living with his dad while his mom has moved on.

And now…

Problem 1. Stuff’s dad has moved in with his new girlfriend and her daughter-Tasha- who thinks she owns the place, and Stuff hates it. (Especially her taste of music)

Problem 2. There’s a new girl at school- Sky- STUNNING, GORGEOUS, WIOOWY, Stuff’s destiny. But… Stuff’s girlfriend -Delfine- has an older brother-Darcy- who would break both Stuff’s arms if Stuff tries breaking up with Delfine.

Now Stuff has to face the danger ahead-Dracy- (problem no.2) who certainly didn’t like the change Stuff did to Delfine…

Even after the horrible events that have happened at school, at home Stuff has a difficulty with his family too. Stuff could not understand why his dad moved in with all that mess. Why Tasha has to live in the same house as he does. Just as Stuff about to go on his own, he founds out that he’s not the only one who has the same problem…

Would Stuff ever have a better life now? Even with all the problems now Stuff has to face, would he be able to survive (through Dracy’s murder? Live without Sky Forever? )? Read the exciting book and find out! Hope you enjoy it!

HI

IT’S ME AGAIN!!!

After showing you my first website of the How to Draw Cartoons, I will show you another this time.

This one contains two good ways to help you learn the skills of drawing CARTOONS.

HERES THE WEBSITE:

http://www.cartooncritters.com/learntodraw.htm

Just have a few clicks and have a quick look at the web, you may find it either interesting or boring. But if you have a close look at the web; you will find it easy to draw. To have a better look, you should take a minute or two to click on different kinds of techniques the website contain. For two things I chose this website is that it doesn’t only contains video clip education(which is not as good as the last website I showed you), it also has a step by step lesson, it shows clearly how the lines goes and best of all, it is the step by step that made their drawing beautiful(of course! Or it wouldn’t be called STEP BY STEP!!! HA HA HA…)

Have you ever draw cartoons before???

Have you found it hard to draw???

Yes??? Well then, you have found the right place to be. Almost everybody faces to same problems.

Heres a useful website that definitely would help you.

http://www.drawingnow.com/how-to-draw-cartoons.html

After a quick look at the How- to- draw-cartoon web, you would think that in your cartoon you would never draw Spongebob or some body who only exist in Chrildren’s TV, but if you go to the top of the page, it should has a block where you can choose what kind of drawing you can draw. Have a few clicks on those chices as Manga, People, Animal, Fantasy, Nature, and 3D.

This website is fantastic.

I think it’s fatastic of how it teaches drawing, for example, when you click Spongebob in the cartoon section, you may find a video of showing how to draw a Spongebob. I personally think the video is one of the greatest way of teaching people things online. The video will stop after it has draw something, which help us catch up the drawing. And the device will also teach us how each bootom works by circle them up. Great isn’t it??? you really shoud have a look at the websites even just a few clicks will do, so please do. Enjoy!!!

At Jan. 15th. 2009, 6A watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!!! After the movie( which I wether not talk about it. Because of that- who in the world havn’t watched the movie?!?), everyone felt happy( I hope) and partly- hungry ( I think it’s because of the wonderful looking candies and it’s almost lunch time). When the class was almost finished, Ms. Clifford gaved 6A a exciting homework. Which is to write a blog entry of – If you can have a factory of your own, what kind of factory would you like? and the paraghragh below will be my project. Enjoy!

If now suddenly somebody pop out infront of my eyes, and shout ” Kelly!!! Kelly!!! you’ve just won a entir factory!!!” and I will ask ” what kind of factory is it?!?” and the stranger will say” Willy Wonka’s of course !!!” and suddenly he dispeared and lefted a note of where the factory is, then I will burst into my own happinese and fell asleep. If you ask why, well it’s only my imagination!!!

The next day, when I wolk up, I will be in a factory which is entir made out of CHOCOLATE!!! And Willy Wonka and the Oommpa-Lommpas will serve me as a princess. And each day I will eat nothing but candies and chocolate! Then my life will be the same each day until…

The 1000th day has came. That night, I went to sleep as usual, but when the next day I wolk up, I was at home. When I told my mom about it, It was only a DREAM.

                                                                     The end

Have you ever read Sakura Medal books? Have you ever wonder a bout what it is? If you know all about it, you will know what I am going talk about. But in case of people doesn’t know, the following is an explanation.

Sakura Medal books are the new books that the Liberians of the world had chosen; it has a special name made by the season Sakura. Sakura Medal books are the books that the world Liberians had chosen; they had chosen the books that they think are good to read. They listed lists the books by grades. There are the Japanese picture book, picture books, chapter books, Middle books and high school books. There also are the votes. If you read 5books in the same category, (or 3 for high school books) the reader can get a vote on the category they read. But if your are in middle school, you don’t have to read the middle books. You can choose the one that you think you like! Also, you might wonder why those fantastic books are called Sakura Medal Books. Well, there isn’t a lot of people know why (and I am one of the ones), but most of the people guest that because the vote end at April, which is the Sakura season, they call it Sakura Medal.

Now you might start to wonder that what books I read, well, I personally prefer the chapter books. All the ones that I read, or the ones I am reading, are fantastic. The story I read are mostly fiction, because I love story with monsters and wicked characters! The characters must be very usual and strange, they must be either scary or interesting to track my attention. So, to be a perfect character for me is hard, but all of the Sakura Medal book characters were awesome.

I didn’t know any of the Sakura Medal books, and the authors before, and you would wonder what makes me interest in those new books. First of all, if the cover’s drawing was interesting, I will start reading the blug (The back of a book). Secondly if the bolg if also brilliant, I am going to borrow the book! The style of all the Sakura Medal has a same point that it made itself so good. The point is that all the books were well explained and exciting. All of them were organized, and has fantastic setting and characters. The best ones I suggest you to read will be the following:

Alex and the Ironic Gentleman- which is my favorite and it’s the book that has wicked old ladies (the character which scars me).

Ottline and the Yellow Cat- a bout a detective story which also has lots of interesting pictures in it.

The Name of This Book is Secret- Warning, everything is secret!

And lots more! But the best way to choose a wonderful book is- to choose it yourself! Go to the library and cheek out the best one you think, but remember, read 5 of them and get a vote for the best book you think! Good luck!

                                                                                                        Hurray for Sakura Medal!

Dear who ever is reading it:

Over the weeks, we had a class display at English class. We were going to do the display on ‘What made Roald Dahl a good story teller?’ and we have 3 lessons of 40 min to work as a team and do the work without Mrs. Clifford( The English Teacher) but the big problem for me was that I nerver read a book that was worte by Roald Dahl, and i didn’t even know Charlie and the Chocolate Factory which is Roald Dahl’s most famous book. So i didn’t enjoy it at first and we were stuck at talking about what job should each person take, and what are the jobs, but I listened carfully as if the clue of my job would be inside the conversation, but NO. As the time went on, the bell rang and we head off to P.E, but there is still some people who did not get a job, and don’t know what to do, and one of them was ME. It gave me a lot of presure just to think about our class failed on the project becausee some people didn’t get their job done and one of them will be ME again. Also, we will only get 2 more lesons and that’s derectly pointing at tomorrow’s double lesons and THE END.

The Friday; and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

When our leson started, everyone who already has a job were very busy, and I know there’s only one job left and that’s WRITEING. I don’t hate writing but it’s the hard tesk that most of the people  didn’t like to do, but most of all, I all ready mention that I HAD NEVER READ A BOOK THAT WAS WROTE BY ROALD DAHL, and it would be very stupid that I will get the darft all mixed up. But luckily I got a part where I can wrote about Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and form what everyone was talking about, I should  write about the way that Roald Dahl had use at his most famous book. Even thought I havn’t watch the movie of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, but I can hardly tell the story would be about Charlie and his adverture in the Chocolate Factory. When the daft was done, it looks pretty good and when I printed it out, it was almost ready to go.

The teamwork time

When everyone was done, we put all the final things together and used the little pins  try and see what sould all the display go. I helped them put on the final display as thely used the loud sound stapler.

When the work was done perfectly, it was a nice and biutiful display. As a revison, I thought that we did our jobs really well and even thought I didn’t actually do a lot of work but I am also a small piece that form the wonderful display. I think that the part we really did a lot of communication was that all of us get involved and discussed about the jobs and where shoud the display go. I though that we didn’t answer the qustion of “What made Roald Dahl a good story teller?” but if I use another way of sense, it’s 80% that we answer it by talking about his skills on his writing and his huge imaginations.

Thanks for reading my reflection,

Love,

Kelly M.C Chung
